Sports Blue Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA STi V.II 555 Pure Sports Sedan.



Subaru was taken aback by the incredible sales success of the first STi, albeit it's difficult to understand now.



To address this demand, they introduced the STi Version II on August 22, 1995, just sixteen months after the first version had been revealed.



The volume issues with hand-building the first in STi's smaller Mitaka plant were resolved by producing the second in Subaru's major production facility at Yajima.

The limited edition Impreza 555 from the V.II range featured Sports Blue paint, a central roof vent (only for sedans), gold 16-inch Speedline Electra wheels, and an optional dealer-applied sticker package. Only 500 'Sedans' and 100 'Wagons' were to be made.



The 555 V.II STi was solely offered for sale in the JDM, or Japanese domestic market, however the modelled vehicle was imported into the UK in 2008.



Since 2013, it has been owned by Wales-based Subaru enthusiast Dale Webb, who was happy to discover it was just as original and sound as he'd anticipated when buying it after giving it a comprehensive overhaul soon after acquisition.

Since then, he has driven it sparingly but frequently, participating in activities coordinated by the Subaru forum www.type-ra.com, of which he is an enthusiastic member, and relishing its incredible performance on the track when he can.



The shorter final-drive of 4.111:1 that all STi V.II cars utilised has been retained, along with a Prodrive suspension kit and exhaust.
