adidas' Dropset Control Training Shoes sit low and wide on a full-rubber outsole, with a textile upper laced down for a close hold through the midfoot. A Torsion System heel clip stiffens the middle of the shoe, while Repetitor foam underfoot stays soft enough for long sessions. The midsole is made without a cutout, which improves durability and water resistance.
Product Highlights
- Torsion System heel clip supports the arch and steadies the foot through side-to-side movement
- Non-marking rubber outsole grips gym matting and wooden lifting platforms
- Repetitor foam midsole holds firm under deadlifts of around 400 lb with no heel slip
- Lace-up textile upper secures the foot across the instep during movement
Best For
- Gym beginners after one pair that covers lifting and conditioning work
- Mixed sessions that run from heavy deadlifts to interval circuits
- Indoor training on rubber flooring or wooden platforms
- Gym-goers with narrow to EE-width feet who want a true-to-size fit; 3E feet should go up half a size
