The adidas Tiro Club Shin Guards run a perforated moulded plastic shell over a foam backing, so you get real impact cover. A slip-in shape sits flat along the shin and an elastic ankle strap keeps everything steady as you move. They're machine washable, and light enough that you'll barely register them once the socks are up.
