The first Nike After Dark Tour session in London landed at the perfect time of day. Late afternoon light slowly gave way to that golden, hazy glow, turning the track into something that looked like it belonged in a film. Before anyone had even laced up, there was a buzz in the air. A few nerves, plenty of excitement, and a group of runners ready to find out what they could do.
Led by Courtnay Walker and Intisar Abdul-Kader, the session was all about one thing: finding your pace. No all-out heroics, just 400m after 400m at 10K race pace, finding the rhythm, locking it in and learning exactly what that feels like before race day asks the question for real.
The pace was set. The work was on.
Some sessions are better seen than explained. Here’s how the evening looked.
