March has been a big month for running shoe launches, with brands rolling out fresh designs just in time for spring training and marathon prep - hello London. From everyday trainers to race-day ready pairs, there’s been no shortage of innovation. We’ve rounded up some of the standout drops from March 2026 that deserve a spot on your radar (and in your rotation).
Just from looking at this shoe we’re in love! The New Balance Ellipse is the perfect partner for everyday running, whether you’re heading out after work for a quick PB round the block or training on the weekend. With the Fresh Foam X cushioning adding that much-needed comfort your feet crave, as well as an upper that’s created with different layers of mesh that offers lightweight, breathability, you can feel comfortable and supported for the duration of your run. As well as this, you can pair with all of your favourite running clothes staples, because the NB Ellipse comes in a variety of cool colourways - shoes that look good and do good? Sold!
On are no strangers to innovative tech when it comes to their products, and these Cloudmonster 3s are no exception. Built with impact absorption in mind, these shoes offer a responsive run, keeping you going through training sessions, slow weekend runs and more. The cushioning offers the much-loved CloudTec® in a triple-layer system, as well as a Speedboard® for effortlessly smooth push-off, so you can rely on responsiveness to help you power through. The On Cloudmonster 3 blends modern tech with an aesthetic look, adding a whole new level to style and practicality.
ASICS know a thing or two about crafting a good running shoe, and the ASICS Superblast 3s are proof. There’s a dual-layer midsole, made with both FF LEAP (a light, bouncy cushioning) and FF BLAST PLUS (stabilising foam), so combined they create the perfect base for lots of different types of runs. A ‘trampoline’ style outsole offers a springy toe-off and breathable materials keep your feet cool while you run. You’ll find some striking colourways, even some with reflective patches, ideal if you’re an early-morning or late-evening runner. With these benefits and more, the Superblast 3s are certainly on our list!
One for the trail runners here: the Salomon Aero Flow Gravel. Sometimes, having a running shoe rotation can be tricky to maintain (there’s just so many shoes out there that we want) but these Salomons offer the versatility you need, being able to switch seamlessly between different terrains, including off-road. With a secure lace-up fastening that keeps the shoe firmly in place as you run, as well as optiFOAM midsoles for the cushioning you want when running on uneven terrain, there’s plenty to benefit from with the Aero Flow GRVL.
This wouldn’t be a complete list without these - the New Balance FuelCell SuperComp Elite v5. Designed to be a race day shoe worth shouting about, the benefits come in abundance. A midsole that’s made from PEBA, a carbon plate slotted between the foam for that ‘lever’ feel that propels you on and a snug, mesh layer that is still breathable and light, what more could you want in a marathon shoe? If you’re searching for a shoe that’s going to work with you in prioritising speed, then this one’s for you.
And there you have it! These are just some of our top picks for March’s latest running shoe drops. From race-day ready shoes to those that’ll support you like an old friend on the super long runs, we’ve got a range of them to browse. So whether you’ve set your sights on a pair from this list, or you want to discover even more running shoes, we can’t wait to see what PBs you smash and races you beat this March and beyond.
